Ram’s island is a mile long and a quarter mile across. There are mature trees, the ruins of a Round Tower, tea-making facilities and toilets. The Cardwells were the last permanent inhabitants of the island. There are fire pits at both types of campsites. The Rams Island Ferry Island Warrior leaves here.

The River Bann and Lough Neagh Association (RBLNA), the body responsible for the regeneration of the island, is led by Island Warrior skipper Michael Savage.
Who owns Rams Lough Neagh?
Due to the four lowerings of the water level of Lough Neagh, the island has grown to 40 acres. The Cardwells were caretakers on the island.
