Caldey Island will be opening on May 1. We are looking forward to welcoming visitors again this year. The Island is open from Easter to the end of October. Closed on Sundays. There are limited sailings in April and October. On Mondays to Fridays and on Saturdays from mid May to mid September, boats run to and from the island. The Caldey Island kiosk is at the Tenby harbour entrance.

You can access and get around Caldey Island. The only way to get to Caldey is by passenger boat. Appropriate clothing is needed for a sea trip in open boats. The boats are licensed by the agency.
Can I stay on Caldey Island?
During the summer months, Caldey Island offers overnight stays. During the summer months, overnight guests can stay in the monastery and choose between two options. The Monastic guesthouse is open to men only and has six rooms and a shared bath.

The online booking closes before the trip leaves. If you want to make a booking on the day, you can either call or visit the Harbour booking office.

The monks of Caldey Abbey make perfumes and chocolate. The easiest way to get to the island isby boat from Tenby.
How long do you need on Caldey Island?
Within the limits of the first and last boat, you can spend as long on the island as you please. We spent about 6 hours exploring everything. You can sample thecoffee at the cafe.
How long is the boat trip from Tenby to Caldey Island?
It takes about 20 minutes to cross. All sailings are subject to weatherand sea conditions.
