Hebridean Air Services runs flights. There are flights that operate on Wednesdays. The morning and afternoon flights return to Oban via Tiree and Tiree, respectively. The runway is not lit and thevisibility is poor. The village of Arinagour is more attractive than Scarinish because it is more hilly. There is a good bar at the hotel. Both islands are worth a visit, but if I had to choose, I would go for Coll. It is more of a challenge to travel around on Coll because there is no public transport. The Post Office has bikes that can be rented for guests.
Can you take your car to Isle of Coll?
By car. It is a 2 hours 30 minutes drive from Glasgow, 3 hours from Edinburgh, 4 hours from Aberdeen, and 2 hours 45 minutes from Inverness. If you are travelling with an electric vehicle, there are charging points. There are no charging points for electric vehicles.

Is there a ferry from Coll to Barra?
In the summer there are daily sailings and in the winter there are 5 services a week. You can get to Coll from the other islands if you take the same ferries that go to Tiree and Barra once a week. It’s a good idea to book cars in advance.

There are a few places to stay on the island. There are two B&Bs, one hotel and one bunkhouse/hostel, as well as a serviced camping site and a few spaces for motorhomes. I stayed in Arinagour, the main village on the island, at The Coll Hotel.
